This invention relates to a catalyst that contains at least one
BOG-structured zeolite that comprises silicon and at least one Element T
that is selected from the group that is formed by aluminum, iron, gallium
and boron. The catalyst contains at least one metal that is selected from
the group that is formed by the non-noble elements of groups VIB, VIIB
and VIII of the periodic table. Said catalyst is used in a process for
transalkylation of alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene and the
alkyl-aromatic compounds with at least 9 carbon atoms.
