An object of the invention is to provide an inorganic board excellent in
water absorption resistance, dimensional stability and/or frost damage
resistance, and a method for producing the same. The inorganic board is
produced through the following processes: preparing a slurry by
dispersing a cement-based hydraulic material and a refined fiber
reinforcing material into water, adding a saturated carboxylic acid to
the slurry, and then the slurry is subjected to the steps of sheetmaking,
dehydration, pressing and curing. The inorganic board comprising a
refined fiber reinforcing material at 1-30 weight % based on the total
solid content and a saturated carboxylic acid at 0.1-2.0% based on the
total solid content.
