The portable terminal has: a first cover that includes a first sound outlet for emitting a sound from the speaker through the front of the portable terminal apparatus; a second cover that includes a second sound outlet for emitting a sound from the speaker through the back of the portable terminal apparatus; and a gasket accommodated at a position sandwiched between the first cover and the speaker.
