Disclosed are films comprising highly neutralized blends of ethylene acid
copolymers, organic acid salts and ethylene containing polymers (e.g.
ethylene/alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymers) and/or silicon-containing
polymers to provide high oxygen permeability values (OPV). Such polymeric
film and polymeric film structures have improved oxygen permeability and
desirable water vapor transmission, formability, and structural strength
to be useful in wrapping food products requiring breathable films such as
case ready meat, fish, sausage, fresh produce, and the like.
