A toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, including toner particles that include at least a binder resin and a quinacridone pigment. The quinacridone pigment includes quinacridone represented by the following structural formula which has a .beta.-type crystal structure and quinacridone represented by the following structural formula which has a .gamma.-type crystal structure. ##STR00001##
