A network-based marketing system is disclosed which allows users to obtain
real-time, single-source LTL freight services. These services may be
branded by an affiliation. The services are preferably provided over the
Internet, and accessed via web browser software in the form of web pages
automated by a web server and database server. The invention permits the
user to receive rates for LTL freight in real-time, schedule, track and
invoice shipments via a distributed network.
