The present invention includes a system and method for displaying
information content, such as advertisements, during a computer-based
application, for example, an online video game or any Internet-enabled
application, and for collecting user impression metrics associated with
the information content, even if the application is not connected to the
Internet or an associated application server. The system and method
include a campaign management system for receiving information content to
be displayed during a computer-based application, including a pack
manager application for creating an information content pack containing
the information content in content sets, a content delivery network to
distribute the information content pack, and a client software
development kit that downloads the information content pack to display
the information content during the computer-based application, and
collects and sends user impression metrics associated with the
information content back to the campaign management system for reporting.
