The present invention provides a novel agent/composition using a
bioregulatory function of a food ingredient.
Namely, it is intended to provide an allergy suppressive agent comprising
chrysin, more specifically speaking, a histamine release inhibitory agent
comprising chrysin; a composition comprising chrysin that is a
composition for treating a disease or condition relating to the
production of IgE; a composition comprising chrysin that is a composition
for treating a disease or condition relating to a high-affinity IgE
receptor; and a composition comprising chrysin that is a composition for
treating a disease or condition relating to the overproduction of IL-4.
It is preferable that the allergy suppressive agent and histamine release
inhibitory agent according to the present invention further comprise
apigenin.
