A photographing assist device for achieving stereoscopic photographing
without the provision of a dedicated camera or a plurality of identical
cameras. The photographing assist device comprises: a rotor made of a
circular member having the shape of a ring; a camera fixing part for
mounting a camera; and a support for supporting the rotor rotatably. A
camera is placed on and fixed to the camera fixing part. When the rotor
is rotated, the camera also makes a circular movement on the plane of
rotation. Continuous shooting is performed during the rotation, whereby
images shot from a plurality of points of view are obtained. A
stereoscopic image or an interpolated image is obtained subsequently
through image processing.
