A yellow ink composition, containing as a colorant at least one type of compound expressed by the following Formula I, and at least one type of compound expressed by the following Formula II: ##STR00001## (where X.sub.1, X.sub.2, Y.sub.1, and Y.sub.2 are each a hydrogen atom or a cyano group, Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 are each a substituent having an aromatic ring, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each an alkyl group, and M is a metal atom) ##STR00002## (where R is a methoxy group or methyl group, and A is 1,5-disulfonaphtho-3-yl or 1,5,7-trisulfonaphtho-2-yl).
