The wireless communication terminal informs a user of a valid playing time of multimedia data by checking the valid playing time of the multimedia data periodically, when a user has multimedia data and valid playing time downloaded and stored in the wireless communication terminal. The method for informing a valid playing time of multimedia data in a wireless communication terminal includes the steps of: a) storing multimedia data and valid playing time of the multimedia data; b) checking the valid playing time of the multimedia data periodically; and c) outputting an alert signal if a remaining time of the valid playing time of the multimedia data is in a range of an alert time.
