A GPS module of an object position detecting unit receives object position
coordinate data from a GPS satellite via a GPS antenna. A radio I/F
transmits object position coordinate data to a digital camera. After
photographing an object, a CPU calculates camera azimuth and a distance
between a photographed site and the object according to digital camera
position coordinate data and the object position coordinate data.
Thereafter, information on the digital camera position coordinate data,
the object position coordinate data, the camera azimuth, and the distance
between the photographed site and the object, is attached to tag
information of an image file along with taken image and a thumbnail
image, and recorded in a memory card.
