A formula for use in treating skin aliments includes from about 20 to
about 75 wt % emu oil; from about 0.10 to 33 wt % benzyl alcohol; from
about 0.10 to about 33 wt % benzoin derivative; from about 0.2 to about 2
wt % allantoin; from about 0.25 to about 1.25 wt % methylparaben; from
about 1.0 to about 13 wt % alkyl esters; and from about 0.01 to about
0.30 wt % propylparaben. The formula can be applied to skin of animals or
humans with skin ailments. The formula can be applied is various manners,
such as through an enhanced oil, a spray, an elastomeric device, a wipe,
a lotion, an ointment, a cream, a gel or combinations thereof.
