More preferably, it has the following characteristics: Nitrogen adsorption specific surface area: from 150 to 300 m.sup.2/g Average particle diameter: from 14 to 24 nm CTAB adsorption specific surface area: from 120 to 220 m.sup.2/g DBP absorption: from 150 to 400 cm.sup.3/100 g Oxygen-containing functional group density: at most 3 .mu.mol/m.sup.2.
