The embodiments of the present invention relate to the general area of
wireless communication systems and, in particular, to fast and efficient
measurement techniques for TD-SCDMA technology. The measurement subsystem
is one of the main subsystems of a TD-SCDMA system and comprises
measurement of several radio network quantities, each of which is
required by a number of system procedures. The measurement of some
quantities is computationally more complex than that of the others, such
as the measurement of ISCP (Interference Signal Code Power) and IRT
(Impulse Response Timing). The proposed method of this invention
decreases the computation complexity of the ISCP measurement.
