The first connecting block and the second connecting block are coupled together via the hinge. The connecting unit is connected with the first and second housings and through the turning shafts. The first housing is connected with the first connecting block. The second housing is connected with the second connecting block. The first housing is pivotable about the second housing via the hinge at either of two sides of the foldable mobile telephone. The connecting unit can turn relative to the first and second housings through the turning shafts. Therefore, the foldable mobile telephone can be opened breadthwise or lengthwise as desired for improved operability and convenience.
