A method and kit for detection of Mycobacterium Avium Subspecies
Paratuberculosis (MAP) in blood and blood derivative samples from humans
by culture and PCR. Technology can screen for MAP in blood samples from
millions of patients having inflammatory and non-inflammatory bowel
diseases, and the results are used to identify those patients with MAP
for treatment by antibiotics. The method and kit can monitor and evaluate
the outcome of therapy.
