A method for location-based services over a mobile radio network. The method includes sending, to a mobile apparatus, at least one or more data messages generated according to a telecommunication standard. The method includes generating, by the mobile radio apparatus, an error report upon (i) reception of the at least one or more generated data messages and (ii) a determination from the at least one or more data messages that, according to the telecommunications standard, the error report has to be produced. The method further includes sending the error report, generated based upon the telecommunication standard of the received data messages, to at least a base station and/or a node of a cell in which the mobile radio apparatus is currently located or attached. The method also includes updating and storing the location information of the mobile radio apparatus.
