This invention relates to systems and methods for managing and optimizing
mobile phone networks. A system for maintaining or optimizing a mobile
phone network, the system includes a plurality of data feed inputs
including at least one performance data feed input to receive performance
data relating to performance of said mobile phone network over a first
time period and at least one configuration data feed input to receive
configuration data relating to configuration of said mobile phone network
over a second time period; and a radio performance optimization system
coupled to said plurality of data feed inputs, said radio performance
optimization system including a rules engine to operate on said
performance data and on said configuration data in accordance with a set
of hierarchical rules and to output one or more tasks for network
optimization, a said task including a definition of a potential fault,
exception or optimization of said network to be investigated by a service
engineer.
