Methods of attaching a drum head to a drum body. Lug assemblies may
include a lug body having a recess and a seating surface; an elongate
link having a proximate end disposed near the drum head and a distal end
disposed away from the drum head. A stop assembly is adjustably coupled
to the link. The stop assembly constrains the link distal end from
movement toward the drum head when the stop assembly engages the link and
bears against the seating surface. Engagement surfaces constrain rotation
of the stop assembly and thereby allow the stop assembly to be loosened,
i.e., moved toward the link distal end, when the stop assembly is too
shallowly disposed on the link. The stop assembly may be inserted into
the recess from a direction that is generally tangential to a periphery
of the drum body.
