The invention provides a combination for use as a protein kinase B inhibitor, the combination comprising (or consisting essentially of) an ancillary compound and: (I) a compound of the formula: or salts, solvates, tautomers or N-oxides thereof, wherein R.sup.1, Q.sup.1, Q.sup.2, E, G, T, R.sup.4, J.sup.1 and J.sup.2 are as defined in the claims; or (II) a compound having the formula (I): or salts, solvates, tautomers or N-oxides thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, E, A, T, J.sup.1 and J.sup.2 are as defined in the claims. ##STR00001##
