Methods, systems and kits are disclosed for devices suitable for use in
the treatment of obesity in patients, either human or animal. The devices
comprise an inflatable balloon having a proximal end and a distal end,
the inflatable balloon further comprising an interior chamber adapted and
configured to receive a filling material; a port in communication with
the interior chamber of the inflatable balloon. The inflatable balloon
can further be adapted and configured to achieve a deployment shape at
least partially conformable to an interior dimensional shape of a stomach
of the patient and further wherein the inflatable balloon is adapted and
configured to have a distal diameter less than or equal to a proximal
diameter.
