Particles of untreated citrus byproduct consisting of dried citrus peels
and pulp can be used to absorb certain useful liquid animal feed
additives up to 125% of the dried peel's weight, thereby acting as an
effective and efficient absorbent carrier. Stated another way, a citrus
peel/liquid animal feed mix may be produced which contains up to 55% by
weight liquid animal feeds, with only a 45% by weight, citrus peel
carrier. The resulting mixtures are an effective and easy handling means
to introduce desired commercial animal feed additives into animal feeds
with a carrier that has good palatability to livestock and poultry. These
mixtures are dry and free flowing.
