A fluorine-containing amide compound represented by the following formula (1): ##STR00001## wherein R.sub.f is a divalent perfluoropolyether group, and each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted divalent hydrocarbon group, which may be the same with or different from each other.
