A device 1 comprises a communication system transmitter 30 for
transmitting signals via a radio interface in a first frequency band. The
device further comprises a receiver 10 for receiving signals via a radio
interface in a second frequency band. The receiver 10 includes an
attenuating component 13 for attenuating signals received by the receiver
10. Moreover, the device comprises a controlling portion 50 setting an
attenuation which is applied by the attenuating component 13 to received
signals to a higher value, in case the communication system transmitter
30 transmits signals with a power level exceeding a certain value, and
setting an attenuation which is applied by the attenuating component 13
to received signals to a lower value, in case no signal is transmitted by
the communication system transmitter 30. The invention relates equally to
a corresponding method.
