An electromagnetic coupler for a motor vehicle. The coupler includes a
first electric machine having an axis and including a first stator
bearing a first coil, an input rotor and a first part of an output rotor,
and a second electric machine including a second stator bearing a second
coil and a second part of the output rotor. The input rotor includes an
inner drum spaced apart from the first part of the output rotor and from
the first yoke, while the second yoke is spaced apart from the second
part of the output rotor by an air gap. The first coil is wound onto the
yoke of the first stator around the axis of the first electric machine.
