A user interface and method are provided for allowing text to be previewed in multiple fonts simultaneously. Text in fonts of different types and/or sizes may be previewed in a variety of formats in a single preview area. Formats include real time text entered by the user, paragraph, alphanumeric order and waterfall. The actual text in the paragraph, alphanumeric order and waterfall may be customized by the user.
