A brake lining assembly may comprise a carrier disk, a brake lining cup secured to the carrier disk and filled with a brake lining material, wherein the segmented brake lining cup has a center, wherein the brake lining material is secured to the carrier disk with an attachment fastener through the lining material and the brake lining cup, and wherein the attachment fastener is offset from the center.
