The invention relates to a concentrated or dried milk product having
cholesterol-lowering effects and to methods for preparing the same.
Provided is a process for the preparation of a milk concentrate or milk
powder having a cholesterol-lowering effect, comprising :--preparing a
milk liquid;--preparing a fat fraction comprising at least one sterol;
and--subjecting the milk liquid to an evaporation procedure, during which
procedure the fat fraction is added to the milk liquid before, in or
after the liquid collector of one or more effects of the evaporator. Also
provided is the product obtainable thereby.
