The present invention is related to an egg obtained from a domesticated
bird, in particular a layer, having a lipid fraction balanced in .omega.6
and .omega.3 fatty saturated fatty acids according to the ratio of
polyunsaturated/saturated fatty acids=1:1.+-.10%. The present invention
is also related to a feed composition of exclusive vegetarian origin and
suitable for poultry and a method for obtaining such egg from said
poultry animals.
