It is intended to provide a means of predicting genetic risk for
hypertension at a high accuracy and high prediction possibility. Namely,
risk for hypertension is predicted by a method involving the following
steps: (i) the step of analyzing two or more polymorphisms selected from
among 4 gene polymorphisms having been revealed as relating to
hypertension; (ii) the step of determining the genotype of a nucleic acid
sample based on the polymorphism data obtained in the above step; and
(iii) the step of predicting the genetic risk for hypertension from the
genotype thus determined.
