This invention relates to the use of a vinic alcohol in cosmetic
compositions, perfumes and personal care products. The vinic alcohol is
characterized as being a product from the grape fermentation followed by
purification by distillation, and is used in this invention in total or
partial substitution of the conventional ethylic alcohol. The vinic
alcohol contains residual substances, which are a characteristic feature
of the fermentation of grapes, affording a characteristic odor to the
ethanol, contributing to a different olfactory sensorial perception.
