A motorcycle includes a carburetor, an electronically controlled
opening/closing valve that opens and closes an intake passage, an ECU
that controls the opening/closing valve, a main switch, an engine start
switch and a rotation speed sensor. The ECU causes the opening/closing
valve to perform a determined initial operation if a determined condition
is satisfied when the main switch is turned on. If the determined
condition is not satisfied when the main switch is turned on, the
determined initial operation is performed when the rotation speed of the
engine has reached a determined rotation speed range after the engine has
been started. To ensure that an initial operation of an opening/closing
valve that opens and closes an intake passage is performed with a high
degree of reliability.
