The invention relates to supported catalysts and a process for the
production of these catalysts. These supported catalysts may be used in
various reactions such as reforming reactions (e.g. steam methane
reforming (SMR) reactions and autothermal reforming (ATR) reactions). In
one aspect of the invention, the supported catalyst comprises a
transition metal oxide; optionally a rare-earth metal oxide; and a
transition metal aluminate.
