The disclosure is directed to a motor/generator including a magnetic
circuit that is created between a rotor and stator through a first air
gap and a second air gap so that a magnetic field (magnetic flux) passes
through two parts of the edges of multiple stator teeth parts. A first
protruding end part and a second protruding end part of the stator teeth
parts which face each air gap may contain different shapes with regard to
the circumferential direction of the rotor. These shapes and orientation
of the first and second protruding end parts may reduce the cogging
torque of the motor/generator.
