The present invention relates to novel diterpene compounds isolated from the fruiting body of Antrodia camphorata, especially to the new compounds of following structural formula: ##STR00001## and pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, hydrate or biologically active equivalent thereof. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing at least one of the novel diterpene compounds, and a use of the diterpene compound as a neuroprotective agent.
