A fluorine-containing organopolysiloxane represented by the following average compositional formula (1) (Z.sup.2Q).sub..beta.Rf(QZ.sup.1A.sub..alpha.).sub.2-.beta. (1) wherein Rf is a divalent group containing a perfluoroether residue, Q is a divalent organic group, Z.sup.1 is a di- to nona-valent organopolysiloxane residue and may contain a silalkylene bond, .alpha. is an integer of from 1 to 8, .beta. is a number larger than 0 and smaller than 2, Z.sup.2 is a monovalent group represented by the following formula (2) ##STR00001## wherein b is an integer of from 1 to 10, R.sup.1 may be the same with and different from each other and is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenyl group, and A is a monovalent group represented by the following formula (3) ##STR00002## wherein R.sup.2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenyl group, X is a hydrolyzable group, a is 2 or 3, and c is an integer of from 1 to 6.
