The presently claimed invention relates generally to analyzing media content (e.g., video or audio). One claim recites: randomly accessing public internet sites to obtain media content therefrom; utilizing a configured multi-purpose electronic processor, analyzing obtained media content to derive identifying data from data representing video picture element or from data representing audio elements; and performing an action based at least on the identifying data.
