Disclosed herein are compounds of formula (I) or pharmaceutical acceptable salts thereof, ##STR00001## wherein X, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, L.sup.1, and m, are defined in the specification. Compositions comprising said compounds which can be useful for inhibiting Rho kinase (ROCK) and methods for using said compositions are also described.
