Provided is a method of assembly for a noise suppressor using specific
welding and assembly procedures. By welding the inner portion of a noise
suppressor to form a semi complete core an outer tube can then be placed
over said core to reinforce the noise suppressor as a whole. The
described process allows for an overall reduction of tube wall thickness
and provides for a reduction of weight. By affixing each baffle, spacer,
end cap and mount together as a whole the strength of the entire unit is
multiplied. My method is not restricted to any particular baffle
technology but may in fact be incorporated into any design where
circumferential fusion welds may be used.
