The present invention relates to new substituted pyrrolidinones of general formula ##STR00001## wherein A, X, B and R.sup.1 to R.sup.9 are as defined above, or a tautomer or salt thereof, particularly the physiologically acceptable salts thereof with inorganic or organic acids or bases, which have valuable properties.
