In at least one case where an image is displayed by a first image signal which designates a first image having a first region of a predetermined color and a predetermined brightness, the first region has a first width in a predetermined direction, and in at least one case where an image is displayed by a second image signal which designates a second image, which is an image in which average luminance of an entire image is the same as that of the first image, having a second region of the predetermined color and the predetermined brightness, the second region has a second width larger than the first width in the predetermined direction. The brightness of the first region in the image which is displayed by the first image signal is brighter than that of the second region in the image which is displayed by the second image signal, by the signal processing in the signal processing circuit.
