A combined bicycle pedal and lock and a method for its use, which is an
integral part of a bicycle and serves both as an ordinary bicycle pedal
and as a means of locking the bicycle to an object which is not a part of
the bicycle.The combined bicycle pedal and lock includes a pedal shaft,
several main components, which carry the majority of the load applied to
the pedal when riding the bicycle, a complementary locking assembly,
which has two modes, a folded mode when the combined bicycle pedal and
lock is serving as a pedal, and mode that can be extended when the
combined bicycle pedal and lock is serving to lock the bicycle to a
suitable object, as well as a short pedal shaft, and a locking mechanism
which is operated by means of a key, combination wheel, or any other
suitable means.
