The invention relates to a motor vehicle part including a light unit
support possessing an initial "operational" position in which the light
unit is held at a given height on the vehicle. The light unit support
also is configured to take up a second "depressed" configuration on being
subjected to a vertical force that is substantially equal to that of an
impact with the head of a pedestrian, in which second configuration the
light unit is located lower down relative to the vehicle.
