Educational systems and methods for learning how to spell are provided. In
this regard, a representative system includes: a working surface
including a representation of a hand having five fingers; five sets of
vowels "a", "e", "i", "o" and "u" depicted at the working surface, each
of the sets being associated with a corresponding one of the fingers; and
five spelling locations depicted at the working surface, each of the
locations being associated with a corresponding one of the fingers.
