Compositions comprising disiloxane surfactant compositions comprising a
silicone composition comprising a silicone having the formula: MM' where
M=R.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3SiO.sub.1/2; M'=R.sup.4R.sup.5R.sup.6SiO.sub.1/2;
with R.sup.1 selected from the group consisting of branched monovalent
hydrocarbon radical of from 3 to 6 carbon atoms and R.sup.7, where
R.sup.7 has the formula: R.sup.8R.sup.9R.sup.10SiR.sup.12 with R.sup.8,
R.sup.9, and R.sup.10 each independently selected from the group of
monovalent hydrocarbon radicals having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and
monovalent aryl or alkaryl hydrocarbon radicals having from 6 to 13
carbon atoms and R.sup.12 is a divalent hydrocarbon radical having from 1
to 3 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently selected
from the group of from 1 to 6 carbon atom monovalent hydrocarbon radicals
or R.sup.1, with R.sup.4 an alkylpolyalkyleneoxide of the general
formula: R.sup.13(C.sub.2H.sub.4O).sub.a(C.sub.3H.sub.6O).sub.b(C.sub.4H.-
sub.8O).sub.cR.sup.14 where R.sup.13 is a divalent linear or branched
hydrocarbon radical having the structure:
--CH.sub.2--CH(R.sup.15)(R.sup.16).sub.dO-- where R.sup.15 is H or
methyl; R.sup.16 is a divalent alkyl radical of 1 to 6 carbons where the
subscript d may be 0 or 1;R.sup.14 is selected from the group consisting
of H, monovalent hydrocarbon radicals of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and
acetyl where the subscripts a; b and c are zero or positive and satisfy
the following relationships: 2.ltoreq.a+b+c.ltoreq.20 with a.gtoreq.2,
and R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are each independently selected from the group of
monovalent hydrocarbon radicals having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or
R.sup.4 that exhibit resistance to hydrolysis over a wide pH range.
