A system and method of eliminating closed or partially closed eyes of
subject in photography, caused by subjects blinking at the moment of
image capture. A digital camera is configured to capture two images in
quick succession. The image processing unit of the camera identifies
regions of difference between the two images that indicate that eyes are
partially or fully closed in one of the two images, and creates a single
composite image from the two original images, in which all eyes are open
for all subjects in the image.
