The private network has a firewall (118). The private network has a router (116) that routes requests for streaming media to an application layer gateway (120) on the private network. The application layer gateway takes care of the NAT and security issues. Owing to this configuration, the mobile clients need not be re-configured when used for receiving streaming media.
