The weather information and commodity production information are generally received from remote databases, processed by an internal forecast data server in light to determine the potential short-term or long-term effects on commodities that a forecasted storm will have. The data may then be transmitted to users via a web-based application or in accordance with predetermined parameters that may be set by the users themselves.
