The invention relates to a planning assistance method for correcting joint
elements, in which: the actual shape of at least one part of the joint
element which is of interest is detected and read-in and/or stored with
the assistance of a computer; the actual shape is compared with the
intended shape, with the assistance of a computer; and the comparison
data is used to plan--with the assistance of a computer--the abrasion of
joint element parts which are to be ablated.
